Zizipho Onwabile Lucwaba, a talented 26-year-old graduate from Walter Sisulu University (WSU) in Mthatha, has won the hearts of South Africans as a popular TikTok creator.

Based in C Section, Chris Hani, Mthatha, Zizipho started her TikTok journey in 2022 and her debut funeral-themed content surprisingly resonated with audiences, going viral and launching her successful online presence.

Following her initial viral success, Zizipho faced a creative block and struggled to come up with new ideas, admitting she felt uninspired at the time. She then shifted her focus to a new job opportunity, putting her TikTok endeavors on hold. Interestingly, Zizipho has always had a passion for drama, dating back to her tertiary education days.

Born and raised in Kliptown, Soweto Zizipho credits her strong spiritual foundation to her parents, who instilled faith and values in her from a young age. Multi-talented, she’s also an Afro House musician, with a highly anticipated project debuting this month.

“I thrive on connecting with others, and it’s incredibly fulfilling when people acknowledge me in public. It’s an hilarious and humbling experience,” said Zizipho.

One of her admirers is her sister, Babongile Lucwaba (23), who shared: “My sister is an inspiration – always pushing to achieve her goals and generously supporting me. She’s the definition of a wonderful big sister and I wish her continued success.”

Nokuzola Lucwaba, Zizipho’s mother, has heartfelt praise for her daughter: “Zizipho’s infectious energy and drive have always defined her. From her early singing days to her acting pursuits, we’ve supported her every step. I’m incredibly proud of the determined woman she’s become, one who sets goals and achieves them, never faltering.”
